FLOOF
Meet Floofs, a 3-4 month old Border Collie mix. He loves exploring, has lots of energy, and always wants to be in the middle of what’s happening. Floofs enjoys being outside, playing with toys, searching for anything he can eat, and wrestling!
Floofs adapted quickly to his foster home and has gotten along great with the resident dog. It took him no time at all figuring out where the treats are kept. He shows no separation issues and is very comfortable spending time outside in his fenced backyard with the other dog; he may do some digging.. He does well on a leash, is learning his house manners, catching onto basic commands, and working on him staying down. He does well in his crate, but will bark when he’s ready to get up in the morning or hears activity in the house.
The wish list for Floof’s new forever home includes: an active person or family, parents with the time, energy, desire and patience to raise a puppy, with all the mischief and trainings that comes with that; a large suburban yard or rural acreage; preferably a fenced in yard, and another fur baby for him to play with. Given that he likes jumping up on people and still nips/mouths, he’s probably best suited for a house without young kids.
Floofs is being fostered by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue near Newport News VA. He is up to date on age specific vaccinations, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea preventative.
