MOWGLI
Meet Mowgli! This dog is an absolute doll! Mowgli is a delightful 1+ year-old, 52-pound Border Collie mix with a laid-back demeanor and a heart full of love. Highly responsive to praise and treats, he quickly becomes an affectionate companion who leans against you and stays by your side.
Mowgli is the total package. He does great with his foster home's resident dog, and wants to play but isn't pushy. He also gets along well with cats, even offering them gentle licks. He is great with kids and enjoys playing with the neighborhood children. He seems to know when to be gentle with little ones. He’s great in the car and seems to love a long drive, especially if there’s a walk afterwards. He enjoys long walks and hikes, and relaxing with you afterward. On walks, Mowgli loves meeting new people, and he's such a good boy with everyone he meets after a little initial shyness. He loves playing fetch and always brings the ball back.
Mowgli is sociable, smart, and energetic, so he isn't suited to being left home alone all day. He would thrive with an active family with kids, an active couple, or a single person who works from home (he'll snooze by your side!), and he will need daily exercise. While he's still mastering his leash manners and getting comfortable in his crate, his eagerness to please and connection with his humans will make training a positive experience. He’s fast and responsive so could be good at flyball and/or agility.
Mowgli is in excellent health. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and is up to date on all his vaccines. Mowgli is being fostered in Bethesda, Maryland.
