NAMI
Nami is a sweet energetic Border Collie looking for a special home. She is a 2 year old, spayed female dog. She is a medium size dog that weighs 35 pound. She is currently being fostered in New Bern, North Carolina. She is very active and loves to run. Nami loves to play fetch with a tennis ball. She would do well in a family that can maintain her active lifestyle. She is a very smart girl and loves attention from people.
Nami is ‘dog selective’. She gets along with most dogs but has met some dogs she does not get along with. Nami loves children and adults. She is heartworm negative and up to date on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Nami is up to date on core vaccines including Rabies.
Nami is looking for a special home that can facilitate her current medical condition. She was hit by a car in July 2024. She was surrendered by her owners after the accident. Luckily, she survived the car accident. But unfortunately, she damaged her tail as well as the nerves controlling the ability to urinate and ability to defecate. Since the July 2024 car accident, Nami is urinary incontinent and fecal incontinent. Nami is unaware whenever she is urinating or defecting. This nerve damage is likely to be permanent.
Nami needs a home that can care for her and her medical condition. While inside, Nami wears a diaper and tolerates the diaper well. Her diaper is changed about every 6 hours. While outside, she runs around without a diaper. As long as her condition is monitored closely, Nami would do well in an environment where she spends a lot of time outside or as a working dog.
Nami has been through a lot in her 2 years of life. Please help this happy dog find a very special home. If you would like more information you can email julieuherka@hotmail.com or apply to adopt below.
